Vertiseal, a leader in sealing technology introduces a new concept to eliminate shaft runout.
Traditional steady bushings lock to the bottom of a hollow shaft motor. They get you close, but runout still exist. Often past the seal manufacturers specification. (Typically .002" total indicator runout "TIR")
After impeller lift has been set. The steady bushing is slid into place. The tapered section of the outer ring conforms to the inner diameter of the motor shaft. The shaft locking screws are then tightened.
Using a dial indicator, adjust the run-out using the four adjustment screws.
IT'S THAT EASY!
